Fall is here...but it might as well be Christmas...

Fall is here! We went to take some pictures of the beautiful colors in our area on Tuesday afternoon. Jeremy had a lot of fun running through the leaves and picking out the biggest leaf he could find.

The sky was so blue and the air was crisp. It was one of our first real fall days.

After we walked on the trail for a while, we went to the indoor play area at the mall, so Jacob and Naomi could burn some energy. The mall was already decorated for Christmas, and the stores were not hesitating to jump on the Pre-Christmas sales. Jeremy saw a Christmas tree...and exclaimed"look mommy.. the Christmas Tricken Tree" (he's still stuck on Halloween).

Anyway, so we went to this outdoor romp area and they crawled and tumbled and screamed, and seemed to have a lot of fun. They even got sneezed and coughed on...so that'll be fun for Mommy in a week or so.

They loved watching the big kids run around and play too. It was fun to get out, and do something different. Next week, Grandma, Aunt Jessica and Aunt Natalie are all coming to visit, and later Grandpa and Uncle Dan( and a couple of dogs will be here too). Even uncle Mark will make a cameo appearance! So we will be a fun and full house for Thanksgiving.

Happy Halloween!

We had a fun Halloween. Naomi was a mouse, because her homemade cow costume looked more like a shirt with black clouds on it...or so "somebody" told me.
Jacob was a pumpkin sweatshirt. I didn't try very hard with them this year because I knew they'd hate it anyway. Besides the payoff in terms of candy was just not enough, lets face it Jeremy was going to be the one to get all the loot. Jeremy dressed up as a Jedi (he's really into Star Wars right now). Surely he is making his Uncle Dan very proud.

"The Force" was with him that night. We started downtown for the annual trick or treating event. Hundreds of little witches, monsters , animals, bible characters(somehow it's less evil if you dress as an evil biblical character), and of course a sea of princesses all accompanied by bored and frustrated parents. We all stood in line for 20 minutes for one tootsie roll, or one of those weird orange and black peanut butter candies. Then I realized that there were 15-20 more stores with as many minutes in between each one. The Arvest bank was Awesome...full size candy bars. We went half way down one side of the street, before we had had enough. Next year we'll just stop after the bank.

After that, we went home for some dinner. Never trick or treat hungry(like grocery shopping) its just a recipe for disaster. After dinner we were off to find a great candy giving neighborhood. Jeremy was a little timid at first, but soon he got the hang of it. He would ring the door bell and say "Tickle Treat." We had to work on that a bit and got "Trickin' Treat". So we settled on that. He was tired, and said his legs hurt, but he wanted to keep going. "Just one more house o.k., Mom" he would say. He did get side tracked by his light saber here and there, and I had to bring him back to the focus of this night. He had a lot of fun, and I probably had as much as he did...re-living the good old days of my Halloween youth.
