The Polar Express !

On Friday mom took us on a train ride. We drove to the train station with our friend Barrett and his Mom too. The train looked really shiny, and we got to ride with a lot of happy kids who wore their pj's. They sang Jingle bells, and then Santa Clause came. There was a guy in a funny hat called a "conductor" he talked really loudly, and liked to take pictures with us.
We looked out the window as the train went really fast, it was kind of bumpy too. Barrett's aunt came and waved at us. Barrett was really excited. It was a fun day, we hope we can go again soon.
Here are some pictures mommy took on our ride.

Fall is here...but it might as well be Christmas...
Fall is here! We went to take some pictures of the beautiful colors in our area on Tuesday afternoon. Jeremy had a lot of fun running through the leaves and picking out the biggest leaf he could find.
The sky was so blue and the air was crisp. It was one of our first real fall days.

After we walked on the trail for a while, we went to the indoor play area at the mall, so Jacob and Naomi could burn some energy. The mall was already decorated for Christmas, and the stores were not hesitating to jump on the Pre-Christmas sales. Jeremy saw a Christmas tree...and exclaimed"look mommy.. the Christmas Tricken Tree" (he's still stuck on Halloween).
Anyway, so we went to this outdoor romp area and they crawled and tumbled and screamed, and seemed to have a lot of fun. They even got sneezed and coughed on...so that'll be fun for Mommy in a week or so.
They loved watching the big kids run around and play too. It was fun to get out, and do something different. Next week, Grandma, Aunt Jessica and Aunt Natalie are all coming to visit, and later Grandpa and Uncle Dan( and a couple of dogs will be here too). Even uncle Mark will make a cameo appearance! So we will be a fun and full house for Thanksgiving.

Happy Halloween!

We had a fun Halloween. Naomi was a mouse, because her homemade cow costume looked more like a shirt with black clouds on it...or so "somebody" told me.
Jacob was a pumpkin sweatshirt. I didn't try very hard with them this year because I knew they'd hate it anyway. Besides the payoff in terms of candy was just not enough, lets face it Jeremy was going to be the one to get all the loot. Jeremy dressed up as a Jedi (he's really into Star Wars right now). Surely he is making his Uncle Dan very proud.

"The Force" was with him that night. We started downtown for the annual trick or treating event. Hundreds of little witches, monsters , animals, bible characters(somehow it's less evil if you dress as an evil biblical character), and of course a sea of princesses all accompanied by bored and frustrated parents. We all stood in line for 20 minutes for one tootsie roll, or one of those weird orange and black peanut butter candies. Then I realized that there were 15-20 more stores with as many minutes in between each one. The Arvest bank was Awesome...full size candy bars. We went half way down one side of the street, before we had had enough. Next year we'll just stop after the bank.

After that, we went home for some dinner. Never trick or treat hungry(like grocery shopping) its just a recipe for disaster. After dinner we were off to find a great candy giving neighborhood. Jeremy was a little timid at first, but soon he got the hang of it. He would ring the door bell and say "Tickle Treat." We had to work on that a bit and got "Trickin' Treat". So we settled on that. He was tired, and said his legs hurt, but he wanted to keep going. "Just one more house o.k., Mom" he would say. He did get side tracked by his light saber here and there, and I had to bring him back to the focus of this night. He had a lot of fun, and I probably had as much as he did...re-living the good old days of my Halloween youth.

The twins turn 1!
It has been a while since the last post. Jacob and Naomi turned 1 on October 15th! They are getting so big. Jacob has been crawling for about a month and is getting pretty good. He graduated from Physical Therapy and seems so much happier to be more independent. His little health issues seem to have improved dramatically as well, although we still have a couple more visits to Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock scheduled.
We had a big party at our house and had about 35 people there. It was a lot of fun. We served Raclette (a French meal that is basically melted cheese and potatoes). It is a stinky cheese, but it seems like it was a hit.
Jacob and Naomi shared a mini cake that they dived into. At one point Naomi stole the cake, ripped of the top layer, picked up the second layer, and stuck her face in it. I guess she liked it . Lucy, our dog, polished off the rest. After the cake and a couple of baths, we built a fire. It was a great night.

The fall weather is coming and so we have been trying to get the most out of the nice weather. We have made been to the park a bunch lately. Here are some pictures from some of our outings the past couple of weeks.

Labor day weekend....
We have done a lot of fun things this weekend. Went went to the park twice, and went to our friend's 1st birthday party. Many of Naomi's friends were there. Jacob had to hang out with the girls. Jeremy had fun playing with all the new toys.
Jacob and Naomi will be 1 next month! We went and took some pictures in the park.
Jeremy was pretending to be "Sky Captain" on his way to rescue "Polly Perkins". He loves to pretend to be an airplane, and spends a lot of time singing the "Sky Captain" anthem and flying around the house. Jacob and Naomi smiled nicely for us in the park..but only for about 3 seconds. Jonathan had to be a quic
k shot.
We also played on the swings a lot on labor day. Jacob and Naomi loved to be pushed by Jeremy
.
They thought it was funny to see each other in the swings. They were giggling, it was really cute.

Here are a few other cute pictures you might like to see.

Long time No post
Well Its about time we posted something. We have been all over the place, and busy, two Colorado trips, One to Little Rock..and the hectic everyday that is our life. Here are a few things we've done to catch up...
Jonathan went to climb some 14ers at the end of July. The following weekend we all went back to Colorado Springs to see "Glamma and Glammpa" and celebrate their 30 year wedding anniversary. We left on Thursday night...drove through the night(for our kids sake). Then left Sat. night at 10pm and drove all night( again for our kids sake) so we don't actually really remember the trip. I think we had a party and went on a hike.
Then that Tuesday we Jacob and Mom went to Little Rock. He had to see a GI specialist for his reflux and breathing issues. He took a few tests, and passed. He is on four different medicines now, but still smiling. He goes back for two more visits in November. We are hoping to lay low for a while, and try and ride out the 105 degree heat wave here in scorching hot and humid Arkansas.

Naomi and Jacob are getting big.
They're 10 months old!
Jeremy is 3 1/2 now...he is a kind big brother.

Glamma and Glampa!
We had a visit this week from Glamma and Glampa(thats what Jeremy calls them). We had so much fun! We went to the park, the Farmer's Market, the Safari, we had a picnic..and a lot more.
We got to see real Lion cubs and we even got to pet them. We feed goats and pet Kangaroos. We also pet a red tailed Boa and a cougar cub. We ate hamburgers, and pizza and went out for ice cream. Naomi also started to crawl this week, and that was fun to watch. She wanted to show off to her grandparents.
The week went by really fast and Jeremy cried when Glamma and Glampa left, but he's ok now. We'll see them again next month. Here are some pictures from their visit.

The Lake Weekend!
We went to the Lake this weekend. We went with some friends, and their dogs came too! Jeremy went boating, tubing, with Mom and Dad. Naomi and Jacob had to stay at the dock with our friend Julia so Mom and Dad could go wake boarding together. Jeremy went tubing twice!
He was so brave. He didn't like trying to swim in the lake though. He got scared, but Julia gave him an oreo and that seemed to make it better. We ate lots of good food, played video game, watched a movie, set off fireworks, and even saw a lizard! Naomi learned to eat watermelon, and she loved it!

We had a really fun weekend, and Mom is so sore it hurts to type this blog! That's all for now. Grandpa and Grandma arrive tonight from Colorado, we better go get ready!
